Brewed with wheat, oats, and lactose sugar, and kettle soured with lactobacillus. Conditioned on hundreds of pounds of passionfruit, orange, and guava, as well as a hint of vanilla beans. Notes of juicy passionfruit, tart citrus, and tropical fruit. Full-bodied and smooth with a juice-like blend of sweet and tangy.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 355mL in a pint glass. From the Walker Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Canned October 22/24. My 10th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and for 2025. Exquisitely appreciated by Sundae the cat...

355 mL can from the LCBO; dated Dec 15 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy, translucent golden colour, capped off with less than a finger of creamy white head. It dissipates within a few minutes, worn down to a thin collar and filmy cap with minimal lacing - looks fine to me. I'm getting a decent whiff of lemon yogurt and lactic sourness off the nose, with guava and orange also coming through clearly; the passionfruit and milk sugar are less obvious.
This is a damn fine fruited sour IPA with balanced flavours that really pop - orange at first, with tropical fruits taking over by mid-sip. Hints of oat & grainy malts underneath, as well as touches of coconut and stone fruit; very subtle vanilla and cream sweetness towards the finish, with juicy orange and guava echoing into the aftertaste. Medium-full in body, with moderately lively carbonation that adds some crispness to this brew's smooth, fulfilling mouthfeel. Super crushable for nearly 7%.
Final Grade: 4.12, an A-. I've had a handful of these POG beers over the past couple of years, and I think Hedonism POG might be the best one I've seen so far. It's juggling quite a few things at once: the lactic acidity/sourness, the lactose sweetness, the Sabro hops, and of course the three fruit ingredients. Not only are they all discernible, they also co-operate in perfect harmony... OK, the guava might be a little overdone, but now I'm just looking for things to complain about. A fantastic sour IPA - grab one while you can!
