Pours a clear, golden amber coloration with a small, frothy head and slightly visible carbonation. Smells of doughy, slightly bready malt, a striking citrus note and lighter, fruity yeast esters. Taste follows the nose, with some doughy, slightly bready malt and a strong, quite zesty, lemon note as well as lighter, fruity esters of tart green apple/pear and more pronounced floral/herbal notes. Finishes crisp and dry with a mild tartness, strong lemon zest and lighter floral/herbal notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice Saison with a light tartness that is dominated, but not overpowered, by some quite zesty lemon notes and complemented nicely by more floral and herbal accents, but perhaps a little light on the yeast esters, with the added herbs clearly standing out, but not necessarily in bad way. Quite crisp and clean, with a good, lively carbonation.
