An interesting beer from Die Bierotek Munchen.
I added this as Belgian Pale because the brewer calls it a table beer. But if anyone wants to change the category to a saison or even an APA, that would be fine with me.
I like this whole concept of a homebrewer doing his thing and bottling it and taking a few more steps and naming the company after the orca for its independent spirit. All good (as far as I can read German... which isn't far.)
But this is not a table beer. It might go with bar food and pretzels, but it is too hoppy to go with a thoughtful dish. Table beer complements good food, Monte Isola will overpower the food. Table beer does not steal the show.
