Tasted in a snifter from draft at Consume on September 27, 2019. Double India Pale Ale brewed with Citra hops. Notes of sweet citrus. Finishes with a bit of a bite.

Poured from a bottle, clear orange/gold with quickly dissipating white head leaving some wispy bubbly lacing. Nose is full on citra hops with hints of sweet malt. Taste follows -if you like citra hops you will love this.Decent hop bite on the finish.Mighty fine citra juice.

I've been itching to try Revision's beers since Revision broke off from Knee Deep Brewing. This is the 2nd DIPA from Revision that I've tried. Bought this one from BevMo 2 days ago. I hate that BevMo doesn't refrigerate its better beers; some of this DIPA's freshness was lost from sitting 4 months on a warm shelf.
This DIPA was bottled on 11/21/2017; ABV is 9%. This DIPA pours a slightly hazy orange with 1 finger of ecru foam. Moderate carbonation. Smell is a blast of dank, pine, citrus and tropical fruits -- frickin' hop heaven! The taste isn't quite as heavenly though, although it's nonetheless very good -- lots of citrus, orange peel, tangerine and tropical fruits against a moderate malt backbone.
When comparing this DIPA alongside Revision's "What What" DIPA, the main noticeable difference is that this DIPA has a slighter bigger malt backbone than What What. So, which is better? I prefer Citra Revenge by a nose for its bitterness. In fact, this DIPA's orange peel bitterness is standout. 85 IBUs; whereas What What is 65 IBUs. The difference in hop bitterness is noticeable.
Another very good DIPA from Revision.

Draft at the Taphouse. Clear, bright golden, small head, streaky lacing. Citrusy aroma, orange peel. Taste too, citrusy, juicy, the puckering bitterness. Stings a bit.

Clear medium gold body, tall white head, lace sheeting left behind... Great Citra hop showcase - aromas and flavors of sweet, dark citrus pith, shellacked with a bit of light resin... Impressions are orange, tangerine, and pine... Body is fairly light, very smooth and soft... I was thinking I wasn't such a predictable Citra fanboy anymore, but this beer is a good reminder about why this is such a popular hop... Bottled 09/25/17...
