Well let me just say this is my favorite Revision beer I have ever had. She is quite the looker, that nice brass color with a 1/2" white head (this was a crowler). Aroma pops so damn hard for Mosaic and Citra, all those usual hallmarks of those hops, just tons of tropical green kush and citrus aromas coming off of it.
Taste, you still get all those popping Mosaic and Citra fruit notes, but the Simcoe does some heavy lifting, giving the hearty yet not over the top bitterness that drives the beer forward into its light and pale toasted malts that are just their for support, they aren't on the game playing roster. In the mouth feel I'd say you're right around 50ibu. The bitterness is so secondary though, it pushes all that lush marijuana and tropical fruit dankness all over the place. I also like that it isn't a double ipa, they make too many of those that taste good, but very similar, and tend to have some acidic feels in the stomach. Here, none of that, drinks so effortlessly. I crushed 80% of this crowler myself in no time. Only one pour escaped me.
