The cool thing about balloons is that they get high. Hot air balloons get really high… in elevation. Helping you achieve that positive lift, we present Elevation Calculation; a carefully balanced NE DIPA igniting liftoff with a buoyant blend of Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe.

How 'bout that, one of my favorite Revision beers and I'm yet to review it over 2 years later. I think they make this around the time of the balloon races at San Rafael Park in Reno. I like the commercial tug job about getting real high too.
Anyhoo, yellow barely hazy pour, pretty close to 'glowing' kind of bright yellow, 2/3" white head. Aroma pops hard on the Mosaic and Citra. Well done.
Taste is nice, you get the juicy dank tropical and sweet citrus flesh push from the aroma hops, while Simcoe is used in its ideal spot here giving a counter punch of bitterness that is far from dominating the core of the beer. The mouth feel is sublime, you have good carbonation, an amazing ability to hide the alcohol, and it straddles the line between west coast bitter dryness and a light flaked body that isn't super saturated and wet feeling. Tangerine, orange, papaya, peach and a hint of pine bitterness to it. This is a really fun beer, the high marks from people all over the country let you know its not a homer rating. Sucks in 2020 w no balloon races I don't think they made this, but here's to hoping it returns.

Sweet tropical hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with well-balanced swallow and nice hoppy bitter notes on the finish. Nice and soft on the palate...good stuff!

Elevation Calculation pours a hazy light lemonade yellow with a well defined 2-finger, soapy off-white head that doesn't linger long leaving lines of lacing. The smell is fills me with crushed pineapple and grapefruit, some tropical fruits, with a hint of grassiness and melon sweetness. Sweet and juicy with pineapple up front along with grapefruit and orange. There's a small hop bitterness about half way through. Soft and smooth on the palette.

Poured from the can, this pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with very good head retention and great lacing. On the nose, there's considerable tropical fruit and light orange citrus. The flavor profile replicates the nose in this well crafted ipa, and this beer delivers plenty of flavor with light bitterness and nearly undetectable alcohol. The finish is clean and long, and drinkability is very good.
Very nice ipa from the folks at Revision.

Can poured into a Russian River Brewing Co pub glass
A: pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy off white head that hangs around before slowly settling to a firm layer and leaving some thick lacing.
S: Big tropical fruit, juicy citrus, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical fruit, passion fruit, mango, and guava, citrus, lemon lime, grapefruit, and a little tangerine, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Dangerously drinkable for a DIPA.

Nose is the smell of plenty of dry hoppy goodness—lots of citrus and tropical fruit, little musty/grassy note, pithy, citrus rind, mango and tropical, lemony, and crackery malts.
Taste: citrus, orange cream, tropical and gentle dry hopped bittnerness but very easy on the tongue. Well crafted!
Mouth is medium bod with a good carbonation which keeps it lively but soft enough to be creamy, “soft juicyness, no decrsble alcohol for a pretty big beer.
Overall very well made big NEIPA with a bit of a West Coast twist. Plenty of bittnerness but we’ll balanced. I’m exited to the other offerings from these guys!

Pale gold and unfiltered. Not you typical murky NEIPA. Light white head that fades quickly and leaves some big bands of lacing. Very fruity with a lot of citrus, some onion and dank hops. Tastes sweet with a bunch of tangerine and grapefruit. Kind of a candied orange flavor. Mild dank bitterness at the end.

Hazy to opaque golden-yellow hue with minimal head that quickly disappears leaving hardly any lacing. Smells great, citrusy, sweet, tropical. Taste is orange, tangerine with a touch of sweetness in the mix. Nice carbonation, creamy with some bitterness at the end. Overall this one is ok, prefer other Revision NEIPA offerings more

I find this beer to be a bit of a letdown.
Wow. I mean, based on these reviews, I was planning on having a baby soldier just so that I could sell him to afford more Elevation Calculation. But sell your second toddler on the blackmarket this beer is not. Hell, I wouldn’t even give you my dipshit 2nd cousin Ernie. Yeah, the one with the lazy eye. Now, don’t get Raul wrong, we have an ok beer here. But 4.36? for another typical, standard Hazy? No sir. No sir at all!
Ok, let’s flip this one and reverse it. The more I drink it, the more I like it. But Revision, guys, think outside the box! This one is so similar to their other beers, or Hazy’s in general, that it’s hard to care!
