another awesome hazy ipa from these guys, they had a whole lot of haze on the menu when i was in, and i liked all of the beers i had, straight up. there is a little booziness to this one, being quite a bit stronger than the others i had, and a little oily and almost that sweet hop character rather than bitterness, its like candied or something, really fresh and intense there, and maybe some milk sugar in here too, although this certainly doesnt have that milkshake thickness or the residual sugar i am used to in the ones that employ it. the hop profile is killer, mosaic in the nose to me, although there have to be several varietals in here together, a melon and kiwi and pineapple complexion when i taste it, and a honey note too, floral and delicate for a beer this big and robustly hoppy, i actually appreciate the sweetness, i think it lends needed balance to the beer, and its nice with the dry cereals of the malt base, almost a granola vibe there for a second. white wine grapes, peach juice, and cantaloupe later on, not much bitterness at all, and excited carbonation that makes this feel really alive. super impressive and drinkable big new england here, these guys really impressed me, so many awesome hoppy beers on the menu here right now!
