2019 bottle- pours dark as night with short khaki head leaving a ring of bubbles and negligible lacing. Nose is sweet and boozy. Taste follows with hints of cocoa, vanilla, boozy barrel wood and toasty malt. A bit of warm booze lingers on the finish.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. 2019 edition, had 5/30/20.
Pours an opaque and oily looking dark brown, with a one inch foamy head and specks of cling. Aromas of whiskey, roasted malt, oak, vanilla, some chocolate, light char, light leather. The flavor follows the nose- whiskey, roasted malt, vanilla, oak, char, some leather, light chocolate. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.
Terrific barrels, a solid base, and expressive aromas and flavors. Just a really well done BA stout. Please make this every year.

Deep space black with a brown ring. Smell right away hits you with the whiskey and milk chocolate, with vanilla, oak, slight coffee, and honey in there too. The taste reminds me of some of the eclipse stout whiskey ba variants: huge expensive chocolate truffle, vanilla, caramel, honey, raisin, light coffee, oak, plum, big fudge, and big whiskey that is not out of control with booze. Feel is rich, dark without being too heavy, and medium bodied for style. Scary drinkable. The wife liked it
