Revision sneaky has a great barrel program from what I have been able to try so far, and this is the crown jewel for me. A boozy drinker's beer for sure, but it is worth the hour of sipping. Pitch black body, brown ring. Smell picks up on the bourbon, hardy oak, molasses, and light vanilla form the barrel, meeting the baker's chocolate, tobacco and a touch of anise. Taste is similar, getting toasted almond, earth and light char in place of tobacco, bourbon character is expressive and full without feeling hot. Otherwise feel is chewy, full, heavier bodied, and decently smooth, barrel character is unreal. Just a notch below the legends, well worth your time on a cold night, especially if you want more barrel from your stouts. The wife loved it

22 oz bottle

Pours ink black, bit of dark tan lacing for a head dissipates to nothing.

Aroma of dark chocolate, anise, molasses, pecan, walnut, tobacco and leather.

Flavor is extremely strong. Smokey and toasty malts overlayed with rich dark chocolate, molasses, mesquite, tobacco, and licorice. This gives way to a boozy oak and leather flavor. The finish is distinctly bourbon.

Body is chewy and syrupy. Incredibly thick. Boozy warmth from the sip to the belly.

This is a wallop to the senses. So rich, layered, and THICK. You're almost eating this beer instead of drinking it. The flavors are great. It's incredibly slow drinking, probably best shared like a liquor over the course of an hour or so. Not something you'd want to drink quickly or pair with anything, this won't share your palate with anything else. Truly fantastic and a must try for fans of heavy stouts. This is probably as chewy as they come without being cloyingly sweet like some dessert stouts.
