Crowlered up 7/7/18 from the brewery, thanks to E for grabbing it.
Perfect light bronze color, great clarity, standard 2/5" white head, not the tightest bubbles, but overall we look pretty good. The aroma, wow, this is that Lotus hop, and it was pretty impressive here pushing a hefty amount of orange, tangerine, stone fruit and berry notes. Might be the heaviest "berry" smell of a hop I've ever come across, but its still the more acidic citrus and stone fruits beating it up in the nose. Very nice, why am I still not getting other breweries experimenting with this hop yet? Its awesome.
Taste, man the good times keep on rolling. Standard west coast minimalistic pale malt body, dry mouth feel, and the hops shine for both bittering and aroma purposes. You get a good amount of orange without the sugary aspect of it or the wet trubby mouth feel of a hazy ipa. Crisp. Were the hops too powerful for them to make it again? Or are Lotus hops just sitting at only 28 acres or something worldwide? I dunno, but I will definitely get a Lotus hopped beer again, be it from Revision or just about anyone else.
