Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels for 16 months.
Hints of burnt sugar and fudge-like character from caramel and chocolate malts provide a delectable canvas allowing the richness of the bourbon barrels to really leave their mark.

Black pour with brown shading and a tan cap up top that fades. Gooey caramel with light maple, molasses and bourbon meet oak, vanillins, semi-sweet chocolate and a hint of tootsie roll. Taste is similar, not as sweet as the nose with the booze and oak stepping up, additions of leather and light licorice temper sweet caramel and brown sugar led sweetness with nose flavors as accent points. Feel is warm, medium bodied, yet decently think, so smooth, booze does start to sit heavy on back end of palate as the beer warms. Another great ba stout from revision, do not sleep on this barrel program!

A little hot in the taste but really good in all aspects of it and still very tasty.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a half finger high tan head that left thick wisps of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of vanilla are present in the nose along with notes of bourbon and brown sugar.
T: The taste follows the smell and has strong additional notes of chocolate fudge.
M: It feels full-bodied and very smooth on the palate with some warming from the alcohol in the finish.
O: This stout had a pleasant balance between chocolatey flavors of fudge and vanilla-like flavors from the bourbon. It felt strong on the mouthfeel but didn't really taste that alcoholic.
