Hazy Leafy Greens

Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a creamy white head. Aroma is orange juice, pineapple, and mango. Taste is sticky and sweet. Very much like drinking juice. There is a moderate bitterness that is really satisfying. The malts are caramel. The mouthfeel is good; very much like juice.

Pours a golden yellow color with a deep haze.

Smells very buddy with some piny undertones.

Very unique taste here. Can't quite place it. Little bits of pine, citrus, and dankeyness. But not enough to call it that. Very unique.

 

 

this is awesome stuff, a hazy version, i love the dab language on the can and i love the hop profile of the beer, still drinking supremely well now, even if it was intended for the holiday a few months back, no fade to me here at all. i half expected it to be overly aggressive, all green and bitey and vegetal and harsh, but thats just not the case, its exceedingly well refined for a hazy one, even for these guys. a little murky and dull in appearance, pale colored with an average white head, somewhat unremarkable but not gross with sediment either. the nose is awesome, big fresh grapefruit and sprucy character, definitely sticky pine sap and weed resin, heady and fresh, light dill and savory, floral honey and pine pollen, and just a simple cereal base that must include some wheat, dry but supportive. the flavor is weedy too, more fresh lumber and orange candy notes now, and there is a little simple sweetness to this for balance. its got grapey sativa vibes if i look for them, plenty of juniper and gin type character, and bright fresh and bitter citrus, somewhat familiar in the style, but very compelling, and i like the oily mouthfeel the hops bring, nice on this fluffy soft body. the ferment is pretty clean, cleaner than many of their hazy ones anyway, and the carbonation is good enough. i think the hop profile is great, it definitely hits that heady weedy botanical spectrum nicely, and i think this is every bit as good as the impressive original!

Pretty yummy. Its super hazy/fruity. The mouth feel is a bit like Sunny D, low in carbonation and ultra smooth. The flavor is citrus forward with hoppy after taste. Nothing special but overall a tasty beer.

 

Ol' 420 of '21 brought out this "hazy" variation of the ol' regulare leafy greens. Consumed on the Humboldt River at Little Bend. Party.

Pours a light orange like color, mildly hazy, which is often preferred by mois. Thinnish 1/4" white head. The aroma has that CTZ mutually existing pine and weed thing going for it. I've thought that the "dankness" of CTZ often gets overplayed, especially compared with some down under Southern hemisphere hops. Its more like outdoor weed to me.

The taste continued in the ways of Revision. Light hop burn/acidity, ample hop flavors mimicking that which was in the nose. above average bitterness for the hazy subgenre but far from problematic. More grapefruit rind showing up that was absent aroma wise. Carbonation is fine. I would have believed this was just unfiltered as opposed to hazy, just not getting the usual flaked oats/wheat smoothness and reduction in bitterness effect. Still enjoyable and one helluva cool label. Everywhere I put these stickers the dang kids and LDS remove the stickers.

Moderately hazy yellow brew with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Some prickles but less carbonated than some. Well, I wouldn't call it dank or pungent by any means. But looking at the bottom of the can, I see a date like 04/16/21 so perhaps the stash has faded a lot. Not that I personally am complaining.

Flavor is more like your usual fruity IPA with a mango and apricot taste. Finishes with the added harsh acidity. Aroma of peach nectar and Hawaiian Punch. Sweet and even insipid. I'm afraid this is of no account, though it's easy enough to drink if you're distracted by something else. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

 

The date stamp on the can I am reviewing is indecipherable. I must have already drank the can that had a legible date stamp, pretty sure it’s under a month out.

Pours hazy, a cloudy yellow gold. Minimal foam. Nice lacing. Low aroma. No bitterness. Dare I say creamy body? Orange creamsicle, more than anything. It’s decent, but doesn’t deliver—the beer sells itself as being dank dank dank, but there’s just not much there.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Milky yellow, one finger foamy head. Aroma is grapefruit peel, pretty simple. Taste is also straight forward grapefruit, maybe some light orange. Creamy, juicy.

 

16oz can with no canning date poured into a pub nonic. Thick hazy golden pour with a fluffy off-white head. Hop-forward nose as expected, full of citrus fruits and dank herb, sticky-sweet pineapple and pine needle. Notes of apricot and peach juice, mild grainy biscuit, low present bitterness, creamy and smooth. Very enjoyable.

Poured from a can - murky and turbid unfiltered citrus juice with thick white head leaving foamy lacing. Nose is citrus ,herbal and dank. Taste follows with some resin and a good chewy finish.

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co beer glass

A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.

S: Resinous, grassy, citrus, tropical and stone fruit, light dank herbal notes, a little peppery spice, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Tropical and stone fruit that really take over as it warms up, passion fruit, apricot, peach, and mango, citrus, grapefruit and lemon, definitely some dank herbal earthy notes, a little resin and peppery spice, slightly toasty biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.

O: This one really changes as it warms, with the fruity side taking over. The dankness is there, but not overwhelming. Really solid adaptation of the original recipe and rather enjoyable on this notorious day.
