Pours a hazy yellow. 1/3" white head. The haze level is moderate. The aroma kicks down all that Nelson hop goodness, dank weed, papaya, wild gooseberry chase, body odor and diesel fumes. Smells like 'green' energy diesel for sure.

The taste is quite nice, its got a lower level of bitterness that most hazies have as a selling point. But you just can't eliminate all the goodness that Nelson brings with some haze trub gloop glop, even if it has that fancy brand name maltings going for it (that is indistinguishable). This does a great job at making 8% very crushable, this has always been one of Revision's strong suits: hops and making 8% easy to drink.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but keeping the lights on isn't about that. Its about making a product consumers want, so I understand why there are 100 slightly different ipas from the same brewery. It is one of the smoothest Nelson beers I've ever come across. Not sure if that is good or bad, just a thing.

Canned 06/11/21

Appearance - Pours hazy and light orange in color with an off-white, half finger's width head that displays okay retention before devolving to a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface. Sub-=par lacing, with a few lines and small spots making up the little there.

Smell - Tropical fruit, dank and a bit of cattiness.

Taste - Follows the nose. Mellow tropical notes that hint at mango, guava and maybe a touch of green banana as well. Mild pine. Bready malt backbone. Finish lingers with a bit of fruity zing.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, lightly creamy texture lends itself to an easy drinking experience.

Overall - Not my favorite Revision hazy offering, but it does have a mellow, easy going vibe to it.

always exciting to drink new beer from these guys, and its been a little while for me, at least on a new hoppy one, so i was pumped to see this on tap, being a huge nelson fan and all, but who isnt, right? in any event, this is a little dull looking from the tap, real pale, hazy, washed out looking, despite having a thick and dense white head on it a half inch high and holding a lot of carbonation, it just looks a little muted. it smells nice, grassy and green a little bit, but with pineapple and papaya and meyer lemon notes, obscured just a bit by almost soupy and raw grain, wheaty and maybe oaty too, more than is necessary, weird for pale malts like this that arent barley to impact the aroma so much in a beer like this, but they do here. the flavor is a little mild compared to the nose, the hops are lost a bit to the grain, at least their sexiest side is, it now takes on an almost noble complexion behind the pineapple and lemon, with some real grassy vibes and even a little spiciness in the place of finishing bitterness. arugula and green grape and a hint of purple haired sativa at the end. i am thankful for all the bubbles, the alcohol is nicely disguised, and there is a lot to like here, but it is a step below their best hoppy beers overall, doesnt quite pop with freshness and brightness, its not overdone either though, no bite or burn or harsh, but it just doesnt move me the way a lot of theirs do, which is surprising because i love nelson so much. happy to see some new ones from them showing up here again! sometimes these are better in the can than the keg, hope to try it in that format too...

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co beer glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a dense layer and leaves plenty of thick lacing.

S: Leads with the standard white grape and gooseberry, backed with soft tropical fruit, floral notes, a hint of Southern Hem diesel, faint spicy pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Classic Nelson, white grape and gooseberry, plus some apricot, peach, pineapple, guava, mango, and orange, a bit floral, slight touch of spicy pine, faint Southern Hem diesel, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, dangerously drinkable.

O: Probably the smoothest Nelson beer I've ever had. Super easy drinking and does a really nice job showcasing everything it brings to the table.

A-solid haze with a lemoncello green hue
S-pop of green Nelson hops on the nose with a pop of the can
T-Mango, apricot, and gooseberry. Slightly above avg bitter and below avg sweet for the style
M-Modest carbonation, Medium body, pretty slick slurry, but not quite what I would call pillowy or creamy.
O-Really solid hazy DIPA. Pretty creative can art too.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter.

Look- Straw, very hazy, no visible sediment, average head retention and lacing, fine white head.

Smell- Melon, mango, white grape, peach, floral.

Taste- Melon, white grape, peach, slightly spicy/oaky finish, mildly boozy at finish.

Feel- Between thin and medium body, low bitterness, soft, below average carbonation, clean/dry finish.

Overall- Interesting version of a NEIPA reminiscent of a chardonnay. Refreshing on a hot summer day.

Sweet, white wine grape, grapefruit citrus hoppy, and hoppy-dank nose on this one! Aromatics are pretty good here! Taste follows somewhat...with a grapefruit citrus and prominent resinous dank bitter swallow. This is decent, but the aromatics>taste here...and the resin dank notes on the backend are slightly overcooked. This interferes with fully enjoying the finish. This is just a tad thinner than I was expecting as well.

Lovely 16oz can poured into a pub nonic. Appearance is typical and welcome for a Revision hazy, lemonade-colored and full-on opaque with a white head. Fairly strong Nelson characteristics with notes of lime and pine, with some light mango and impressions of green grapes and white wine, faint coconut as well. Nice present malt backbone that doesn't lean too sweet though you can definitely feel that this is a double IPA. A well-executed NE hazy, what I would expect from Revision.

Can pour- murky dirty yellow juice with quickly receding white head leaving wispy frosty lacing. Nose has tropical fruit and sweet malt. Taste is a bit of a let down with the addition of diesel and bandaids to the mix. Finishes toward dry.

Can dated 06/12/21 into a tulip glass. Lots of Nelson goodness, plenty of dank, diesel and gooseberries. Quite nice full, almost fluffy, mouthfeel. Definitely makes my top tier for Revision hazies, would gladly repeat.
