Notes: Collaboration with Hana Koa Brewing Co.

Punchy Strata, Citra and Simcoe Cryo hops add aroma and flavor notes bringing to mind sweet orange, passion fruit and green pine. Crisp enough to drink in the day, with the perfect amount of hoppiness to enjoy into the evening.

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co Willi Beecher glass

A: Pours golden amber with a frothy of white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.

S: Tropical and stone fruit, bright citrus, a hint of pine, crackery malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

T: Bright citrus, tangerine and lemon lime, tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, apricot, peach, mango, and a hint of under ripe strawberry, a little pine, subtle underlying earthy herbal notes, lightly toasty slightly grainy crackery malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: First things first, while it is relatively dry, I don't think it's got quite enough bitterness to really call it West Coast IPA. However, it is super crushable, drinks kinda like a session IPA, but with a higher ABV. As a beach beer, they definitely hit what they were going for.

Had this in the fall of '21. Looks like I took the pic out on the disc golf course in Fallon. Looks like hole #4.

Pours a golden color, light cloudiness, for a 'west coast' ipa it lacks that clarity that is kind of a hallmark of the best ones. 1/3" white head. The aroma pops for pine. Like that town in California, Big Pine. Beyond the big hit of pine, there is some citrus variety, grapefruit, orange, lychee etc. . .

Taste has that nice evolution of Simcoe that goes harder than just bittering hop, gives that iceberg pine aspect to it, psychosomatic cryo reference is possible. Mouth feel makes that great combo of crisp and dry. Damn near the perfect amount of bitterness when I'm wanting to rock an ipa. Its a lot of fun to drink on the golf course for sure on a warm fall day. Aspects of pear/prickly pear laying up in the latter stages.

I'm watching Thunder Rosa and Danhausen eat tacos in San Antonio. Pretty good. Doesn't really crack unique, but sometimes you just want that reliable hoppy banger that Revision can do 200 barely different versions of.

i have not heard of the collaborating brewery, but i really liked the beer, its majorly dry hopped, neither clear nor hazy, and the hops pop in a cool way, maybe even a little something from the fermentation, estery in a way that flatters the hops, i thought this was a banger on tap, but revision always kills it, we are lucky to get so much of their stuff here in idaho! definitely some cryo hops to this frothy brew, they start early and seem saturated beyond what pellets can do, grapefruit, orange candy, and pineapple juice in the nose, more of a lemongrass and herbal taste, tempered bitterness the whole way, simple on the grain side, medium bodied and soft feeling, with high carbonation and a pretty drinkable smoothness. i love the hop complexion with whatever is adding the white wine and pear aspect in the ferment, maybe normal yeast for a style like this but run warm, maybe some compound out of one of the hops, but its high tone and energetic and adds a brightness to this thats not always common in the style. faint coconut and honey as it warms, relatively clean on the finish for how late and bold the climax is, and rather unique in their lineup i reckon. very solid offering here, they should keep this one in the rotation...

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Clear, bright golden with a fast receding head. Malty, bready aroma with a mild hop presence. Taste brings light hoppy flavors, sticky, dry. A nice soft IPA with a wonderful mouthfeel.

Can pour- crystal clear pale gold straw color with thick white head leaving bubbly lacing. Nose is citrusy, sweet and tropical. Taste follows with malty earthiness. Finishes on the dry side.
