Pounds and piles of Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand throw aromas and notes of gooseberry, lychee, passionfruit and a whisper of white pepper.

16oz can from the Boise Co-op. Bright, clear golden copper body with a patchy head. Not at all like showrunner described. Light hoppy aroma. Taste features various fruity flavors, light floral notes and a touch of West Coast hoppiness.

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden orange amber with a frothy pale tan head that settles to a firm layer and leaves plenty of thick lacing.
S: Tropical and stone fruit with the classic Nelson white grape and gooseberry, a little resinous, faint herbal grassy notes, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Soft fruity notes, white grape, gooseberry, apricot, guava, peach, and passion fruit, a bit resinous, floral notes, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, super smooth.
O: Not exactly what I was expecting. Every other beer in the Revenge series has been a dank resinous smack to the face, yet this one uses finesse to show off what Nelson can do. The flavors come across more nuanced as well. Nelson is a hop the can really stand out and take over, but here all the rough edges have been polished off and wrapped in a silky smooth package. Ironically, that's the 1 thing I kinda miss here. Give it a bit more bite so there's no doubt you're drinking a big Nelson DIPA.

Can pour- clear medium gold straw color with thick white head leaving significant frosty lacing. Nose is tropical fruit with some earthy dankness. Taste follows more or less leading to a dryish finish. Well hidden abv.

Solid, on par with their Citra Revenge for my palate and preferences, but both are a tier below the Simcoe and Mosaic for me. This just doesn't pop like those other two.
