Poured from a 16 ounce can into a snifter.

Look- Black, medium brown frothy head, below average head retention, average lacing.

Smell- Cocoa, hazelnut, vanilla.

Taste- Cacao, hazelnut, vanilla, mildly sweet finish, slightly boozy finish.

Feel- Medium body, smooth, mouth warming, silky, mildly mouth coating.

Overall- Fantastic flavors and nice look/bouquet. The feel was thinner than I would have expected, but it had a nice silkiness.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a quarter finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, fudge, nuts, vanilla and cocoa Flavor is dark toasted malt, filberts, vanilla and mild cacao, definite fudgy character. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An excellent dessert style stout that has tempered sweetness and a drier finish. Lots of filbert and vanilla character with lighter chocolate, but the combination is very reminiscent of fudge; the aroma is uncanny. I'm on the fence now with pastry and dessert style flavored stouts, with many being just too sweet after drinking half a glass. This is more like what I'm looking for, some initial sweetness, but no cloying notes. The aroma is most authentic fudge character I've noted in a stout, taste has less chocolate, but still quite flavorful and balanced tasting. Well done.

16oz can. Dark pour with a mocha head. Nutty, sweet nose reminiscent of the Coconut Pie Face they released last year. Lots of nutty hazelnut and peanut butter as well as the aforementioned coconut. Lots of fudge, chocolate, and vanilla as well as impressions of maple syrup in the sweet, viscous character of this stout. Thick, sweet, drying finish.

16oz can from Homebrewstuff. Black, silky pour with a ring of beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasty, chocolate with hazelnuts. Taste features more chocolate and hazelnuts, well balanced without being overly sweet. Revision has been upping their stout game. This is a good example of that.
