Its always weird for me when I buy a Revision beer (the brewery closest to where I live) in another state. Its happened a few times, one of them, the beer was awesome. This time, the pendulum swings the other way like its got hair the same color as the can.
Pours a dull hazy amber and beige like color. The head on this was huge, literally like 1.5". It was poured into an OG Stone Glass (the one that just says pale ale, ipa, smoked porter bc that's all they made back then). The beer had a green hop nose, very much Sabro showed itself alongside the familiar Citra and Mosaic combo (Revision possibly believes its illegal to make an ipa wo Mosaic, but hey, its a great hop).
The taste though, dang man, the lushness of the oranges, weed or berries from these hop notes gives way to a mouth feel that has some heavy hop burn, booziness and bitterness all seemingly exacerbating the other. Triple crown of oooooof. Its one of the least "smooth" hazy ipas I've ever had. It tastes like burning. Super rare miss for Revision on this one.

Overall good NE Style triple. Its got citrus and guava flavor up front. The hop flavor comes soon after but it's short lived and dominated by ethanol flavor (off putting). The mouth feel is sillky smooth with low carbonation. This would be perfect brew if the ethanol wasn't so rough, I expect smoother from NE style. Still decent though.

Can pour- murky and turbid dirty yellow/orange juice with short foamy white head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is a whole lotta tropical fruit and a whiff of alcohol. Taste follows with hints of coconut ,citrus and pine followed by some boozy heat that lingers on the finish.

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy peachy golden orange amber with a frothy pale tan head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.
S: Ripe tropical and stone fruit, citrus, a touch of coconut, spicy pine, floral notes, bready biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Coconut hits big, followed by tropical and stone fruit, peach, mango, papaya, passion fruit, and banana, spicy pine, some citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and orange, floral notes, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Full body, on the milder end of carbonation, chewy, somewhat creamy, with a little alcohol warmth.
O: I got into TIPA season a bit more this year so I've got some recent comparisons available. As a triple itself, pretty solid. Managing sweetness and feel at that size, especially when you go the NE route is tricky, but this one hold sits own. The main thing keeping me from soring it higher is the coconut and banana action that makes me think about sunscreen way too much. Otherwise not a bad offering.

16oz can from Homebrewstuff. Hazy golden pour with a silky, tight white head. Boozy, hoppy, citrusy aroma. Taste also is centered around the ABV, sweet fruitiness notwithstanding. It's only 10.5%, but has quite a bit of heat. Full feeling. Warming.
