All things must pass, and once this spontaneous combustion of hop awesomeness is gone, you'll want more. Mango, passion fruit, pine hop notes burst forth from Mosaic, Galaxy, Cryo Simcoe and Cryo Mosaic. The heavy hands of time weigh upon us; enjoy in the now.

Crystal clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the GameCraft Pilsner glass. Aroma of melon and citrus. Sprightly on the tongue but thickish body. Malty and juicy but with a clean finish. Fruity-tangy with no particular flavor standing out. Bitterness is quite moderate. Overall this is a less intense and more refreshing kind of hoppy brew, though plenty strong. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. No apparent date.

Pint can, talented artwork, fresh from the cooler at Slackwater in Salt Lake City, poured into a snifter. Adequate foam atop the brilliant gold brew flattens out in a minute.
Mango and pineapple jumps on the nose, little bit of familiar pine too.
Taste is kinda reserved, like everything I smell doesn’t pop like a Skittle in my mouth. Malt back is keeping the hops mix from exploding.
Mouthfeel is low end of medium. Medium carbonation.
Overall, beautiful can artwork does not promise a great beer.

Taster at Alefort. Clear golden, skimpy head, lazy carbonation. Subtle fruity aroma, blend of tropical and citrus. Taste is melon, pineapple, pink grapefruit. Smooth and a nice weight.

Here's a selection from the brewery of which is in the closest geographical distance to my house. 90 miles, beat that. This is a collaboration with Ghost Town, so no surprise there are some skeletons on the label about to get down.

Anyhoo, pours a clear, golden color, good clarity, 1/2" white head. Pretty. Lots of Mosaic in the nose. Smaller quantity of Galaxy. So lots of tropical fruit: guava, pineapple, berries, weed, mango, passion fruit. Wait, weed isn't a tropical fruit.

Taste takes the nose and goes 1/2 way in a different direction, that Simcoe bringing just the right amount of pine like bitterness to this one. It finds a great middle ground of Goldilocks with a 55ibu like persistence through the entire beer, stiff, bitter, dry, but not over the top in terms of mouth feel. The Simcoe did more than just add bitterness, the pine effect helped bouy this from just tasting like a tropical fruit lifesaver pack/roll.

Coconut was always my favorite, thanks grammamamamama for all those stocking stuffers. Thought about you a lot today when my buddy posted pics of his family playing cribbage during a power outage last night in Wisconsin. Miss you.

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co Willi Beecher glass

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.

S: Mix of citrus and pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, a hint of melon, slightly grassy, crackery biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

T: Bright citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and tangerine, tropical, and stone fruit, mango, passion fruit, apricot, peach, pineapple, and a touch of melon, a little pine, slight grassy notes, a hint of bubble gum, crackery biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

M: Just a touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation

O: I knew this was gonna be good from the second I cracked it open and took my first whiff. Super clean refreshing West Coast IPA.

Revision's Cryptic Love, a collab with Ghost Town. Brewed with Mosaic, Galaxy, Cryo Simcoe, Cryo Mosaic

Appearance: exceptionally clear gold with lots of carbonation flow, minimal head
Smell: indiscernible subtle fruit, a little pine
Taste: mango, melon, slight pineapple on the finish. Below average bitter for the style
Mouth: medium (-) body, above average carbonation, clean dry finish. The best attribute of this beer.
Overall: On these collaboration beers, it sometimes seems like the two breweries fail to merge their two visions of what the beer should be, and the lack of alignment in purpose and conflicting hop bill ends up with a muddled beer that doesn't live up to expectations. So it is with Cryptic Love.

Draught shaker pint at Univ. of Beer.

Solid westy, tastes like Mosaic and Simcoe combo on the hop side. Nose was mute, would like to repeat in packaged format if it was indeed canned.

done in collaboration with ghost town, another good one from revision, and this time light and clear, drinkable for the eventually impending warming weather here, nice to see the refinement. neat hop profile, bold and punchy even in the nose, up front in the taste trajectory too, suggesting cryo hops or some other concentrated form, seems to have almost no greenness to it, but remains relatively intense, it seems fresh too, and im into it. mosaic hops seem obvious, a little catty that way, but sliced pineapple too to me, a little lemongrass, and some decent bitterness it seems here too, but its not harsh in the least. behind the mosaic im not sure, some pine and some oily weedy resinous dankness too, some orange in the mix, more northwestern as it sits, and also on the back half, more tropical up front. some nice bitterness on the swallow, west coast type for sure, and a very clean and tidy ferment, on the dry side overall, well carbonated, light and bright and bold, but definitely a pint beer too. revision is king of the hops right now as far as i am concerned, this isnt their most memorable beer, but its objectively rock solid once again...
