Crisp and crystal clear, this beer hits like jumping into the Lake Tahoe bay it is named after. Mosaic, Motueka, Cashmere, and Citra hops bring fruity hop notes of mango, lime and sweet orange with a hint of pine.

Canned February 25th 2025
Look: Clear bright yellow with a low white head that has poor retention.
Smell: Hops, citrus and a touch of pine.
Taste: Some hops come through, a lot of citrus, not much pine. Gets a little sweet when it warms up.
Feel: Good. High in the mouth.
Overall: This is an ok beer but Revision wouldn’t know what a WC-IPA is if one had just punched ‘em in the face. This beer desperately needs more pine on the tongue as the nose suggested. It’s decent enough but I wouldn’t try this brew again.

2026 Update
Well, ended up with three more of these things since they came in my Revision Variety Pack. I have these rated higher than their case-mate and fellow WC-IPA in-name-only, The Bird, but The Bird is tastier. Emerald Bay is a definite skip over.

Can poured into a Revision Brewing Co Willi Beecher glass

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.

S: Zesty citrus and slightly dank grassy herbal notes lead the way, pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit plus a touch of melon, floral hints, bready biscuity malt, and a fairly dry finish.

T: Herbal, zesty citrus, lime, lemon, and a little tangerine, soft tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, blueberry, papaya, melon, and a hint of passion fruit, a little pine, underlying dank grassy notes, super faint coconut, slightly bready biscuity malt, and a fairly dry finish.

M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: This feels like Jeremy's ideal lake beer. Light and flavorful, but still packing some darkness. Can't say it'd be my go to, but for what it is it's well made.

This review is for the canned/packaged version. High diacetyl content! I cannot even comment on hops profile. For me it's the first example of a beer with such high diacetyl content that is clearly noticeable because the beer was otherwise made very well. I had the beer on tap at the brewery, where i purchased the canned 4-pak, in Sparks, NV, and it was fantastic. I guess this review is more about this batch, and Revision unreluctantly packaging it, than the recipe itself.

Look is a 5! Beautifully clear appearance.

crazy and delicious modern ipa, right from the source. the hop profile is so new school and juicy, it smells more like a hazy than a clear one, the cashmere leads the way for me but the new zealand hops are obvious too, complex, light as can be to drink on, and real pretty to look at, sparkling and golden, looks almost pils-esque, immaculate clarity, an inch of airy white head, fine retention, very alive and sexy. the nose here is crazy, so dry hoppy but so clean without all the starchy grains that usually accompany a hop profile like this, mango for sure, coconut flesh, papaya, tangerine, and a slight mosaic catty thing, but this isnt the usual mosaic and citra complexion, the other hops in here are way in the lead. in the flavor its meyer lemon, lemongrass, white wine grapes, lime leaf, and honeydew melon, there is so much fruitiness to this, still some cat, but it works, and its minimal as long as this is good and cold. minerals underneath, a very simple grain base with faint biscuit to it, slightly european, doughy, and the ferment is invisible. i like the lower bitterness, but its still on the edge of being crisp in texture because of how dry and light the body is. pineapple juice, green apple, and vibrant orange to close, brisk and refreshing. love this kind of ipa, almost hits like cold ipa, the clarity and tightness and dry hopped goodness. yum.

A good example of the West Coast style. Clear gold, minimal head and lacing, slight carbonation. Light citrus scents, a bit of dank pine. Taste is dank, piney, hint of citrus flavor. Light bodied, minimal alcohol presence, and a slight oily finish.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a gold color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is grains and hops. Taste is spicy; citrus fruits are grasses. Crisp and dry.

Not a fan of the low carbonation, but this beer simply tastes great. Orangepeel, mango, pine...not too sweet. Very good west coast IPA...just really lacking mouthfeel.

On tap at the source and can pour- pale gold straw color with short white head. Nose is citrus forward. Taste follows with more mellow citrus and a hint of pine, then a faint bitterness on the finish.
