Obviously, it's another modern American IPA that continues to distant themselves from the traditional. The emptying of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug produced the now way too familiar stark white foam, where a good beer head should be. Other than that, the body is light golden amber that's slightly cloudy. Ad nauseum, it recedes unevenly and unattractively, leaving irregular glass lacing. That's what wheat included IPAs do. There's a little piney and/or citrusy hops to smell, but not profoundly and nothing else. There's nothing to commend about the taste. It's bland, only marginally hoppy and one dimensional. The mouthfeel is only slightly above the typical American Adjunct Lager, sad for something that claims to be an American IPA. There are few brews that are so outrightly bad that the recommendation to avoid applies. This is maybe one of them. It's really, really close to bad.

Pours a clear pale golden yellow with plenty of foam in the glass. Aromatic and unusual, something like pine and apricot, plus the usual citrus. Light body with a sharp spritz. Tastes of lime, sour plum, and cucumber with a dose of grapefruit for the finish. Fairly bitter and spicy as well, even a little hot for the average ABV. Interesting hop mix-- I thought I tasted coconut too, but no Sabro. From the 16 oz can purchased at a southern Calif beer store. Dated 11/28/22.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear golden pour, white frothy head. Aroma is a balance of hops and malts, with the hops gaining the upper hand in the taste. Light citrusy flavors, notably orange peel, are present after the initial hop bite.

16 oz can.
Pours a clear pale gold color with a finger of sudsy white head. Pretty good head retention. Leaves a ring of lacing around the glass.
Aromas of passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, and pine with some faint caramel.
The flavor brings lots of grapefruit, passion fruit, lemon, pineapple and a bit of toasted coconut. Finishes piney and clean.
The feel is medium bodied with moderately high carbonation. Creamy and lightly crisp with a clean, dry finish.
Overall, this is definitely a great west coast style IPA. It's hoppy and bitter yet nicely balanced and easy to drink. Well done.
