One of a dwindling stash of big bottles in my cellar as the corresponding shelves of stores empty. 22 oz. Split with the wife.
Black. Minimal life other than a floating bog/island of tiny bubbles. The nose brings mild bourbon & an intermingling of vanilla & sweetness from the malts.
Infinite Dreams lowers the vanilla bean boom. Boom! Vanilla, all over my palate like box elder bugs on my basement sliding door in February. This tastes better. The star of the show is backed by gentle, soft bourbon, lick of alcohol, bitter baking chocolate with a touch of oak on the finish. The bitterness adds interest & depth. Body is silky smooth & the mash-up is sooo drinkable.
Another BA Vanilla Stout. Ho-hum. This one invites a higher standard with the bitterness & oak-smooth mouthfeel. Excellent brew.
