Poured from a 16 ounce undated can into a snifter at 53 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, dark brown, sudsy head, close to zero head retention and lacing, leaves moderate alcohol legs on the glass wall.
Smell- Bourbon, more bourbon, cacao, oak, coffee, vanilla, very high strength of scent.
Taste- Bourbon soaked, vanilla, cacao, oak, coffee, very high strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, below average carbonation, highly mouth warming, highly bitter, mildly mouth coating, mildly creamy.
Overall- Black and opaque with virtually no head retention or lacing. The bouquet was bourbon forward layered with notes of cacao, oak, coffee and vanilla with a high intensity. The flavor was also vibrant and bourbon soaked with vanilla, cacao, oak and coffee playing a supportive role adding nice complementary components. The beer had medium body, which was slightly thinner than expected and below average carbonation. It was highly mouth warming, but the mouth coating properties were disappointing. Overall this beer had spectacular aromatics and flavor. You just can’t go wrong with bourbon, dark chocolate and coffee. The mouthfeel was average and the appearance was slightly below average. All told this beer was excellent and provided an interesting and memorable drinking experience.

16oz can from HomeBrewStuff. Black pour, thin brown head. Up front boozy aroma, roasty, chocolate. Taste is pretty boozy also, but the chocolate is more pronounced. Light roasty bitterness and a fair amount of sweetness. Velvety feel with some residual warmth.

A-boring. Black pour with no discernable head
S-the best part of the brew. Molasses, chocolate and roasty notes
T-Molasses, dark fruits, alcohol. Average sweet, average bitter. Fairly well hidden 14.3% alcohol. But there is definitely a burn.
M-Thin for the style.
O-Wish I would have chosen differently for my American Imperial Stout.
