Based on a beer Preston made before, this was one of the first barrels of sour that we laid down in December of 2017. It has dark rich dried fruit notes reminiscent of a dried fruit rollup, sweet dark grape skins and tart blackberry jam and soft leather notes. It has a tart finish that leaves a prolonged fruit note on your palate

Lovely deep purple/red with a nice pink cap of foam that settles into a quarter inch persistent layer
Nose has a strong black raspberry sorbet thing going on, along with jammy notes
Taste is tart and dry with the acidity drawing put saliva that reveals some dark berry flavors. Underripe grapes and kiwi skin also show up for me.
Mouthfeel is dry and tart with a yogurt like softness over top. Not bad
Overall this is a nice beverage, if you like dark berries, including black elderberry, and don't mind some serious sourness this could be the one for you. For me, there's not enough going on past the sour note.
