Midnight Oil Brewing Co. "Love Seed Mama Jump Lager"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 08/06/24" and sampled on 03/28/25
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: Hmmm, this is contract brewed in Dallastown, PA. That must be Wyndridge Farm. It's poured a surprisingly hazy golden body beneath a short head of white that fades away quite readily. If I tilt the glass back and forth I can see that there's visible particulate in suspension. That's not a good look for a lager. It's malty in the nose with juicy apple and a bit of grassiness. The taste bears that out. The apple-like character is quite pleasant but perhaps a little strong for a lager. Otherwise it's quite clean, really well balanced, and refreshing. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and crisp. The drawbacks here are the haziness and the lack of head retention and lacing.
