Tried this at the brewery.
Pours surprisingly dark. Medium to large head, medium carbonation. Smell is stout. Roast, anise, a little booziness.
Taste is totally roasted malts. Almost burnt. Some anise and coffee.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied but surprisingly effervescent. Overall -- judging it as a barleywine, it's OK. It would do better as a stout.
