Dad and brother went on rafting trip in Montana and came back with a 24 pack of this beer. Since I had never heard of it, I had to try it and thought a review would be fun to do. Surprised to see it not listed on BA so...
A - Yellow is the second thought on my mind since the first thought would be disgusting to list my first thought. A hard pour gave me a couple fingers of head that disappeared almost right away to a thin 50% covering of head. Visible carbonation rising up but just enough to maintain that layer. No lacing on the glass as I tasted the beer.
S - Faint to almost no scent. What is there is sweet.
T - The moment of truth. Sweet. Sweeter then most of these styles that I have had. The corn sweetness is really high, maybe the highest I have ever tasted.
M - Don't feel any carbonation on my tongue or in my mouth. Odd. Noticed a slightly sticky feel in my mouth though. Must be the sugars. Other then that, thin and watery comes to mind.
After I drank this, I examined the can. It states that it is from the Milwaukee Select Brewing Company, in La Crosse, WI. A web search found no such brewery but a search for this beer did find the Pig's Eye Brewery and on it was this beer as well as it's Light and Ice versions. On it's "Awards" page, this beer ( and it's cousins) are not listed as winning anything. Also it's "find Us" page shows Colorado but when you click on their distributors pages, it lists Denver and Grand Junction. Click on Denver and you get a canned iced tea site. Ohhh.... not a good sign. To be fair, I say on the site that the cans are dated. My brother got this in May and the date on the can shows that it was packed on 10/25/12, more then 6 months later...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
