This year we revamped the grain bill to promote a softer mouthfeel and allow the aggressive triple dry hop of CTZ, Simcoe, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado, Ekuanot and Amarillo to take center stage. But at 10.0%, don’t expect to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

Batch released 4-1-22. A little green. A week or 2 I think will do wonders.

Wonderfully opaque lemon-yellow brew; good head production for the high ABV, and decent retention.

Fairly tropical in hop tones, along with modest dankness; pineapple dominates the fruity flavors, along with orange and lemon. Mouthfeel is very impressive: smooth, creamy, and lively, with a bit of a boozy burn, but nothing indicating the double digit ABV.

Had a couple of average ipas at best before this. The contrast was absolutely STARK.

L: pours a hazy, yellow. Creamy white edges but solidifies into a dense brownish center. The color in between is a lemony haze between.
A fine white head forms.
The haziness speaks to a depth of character.

S: bright and obvious hops are accompanied by something sort of sweet. A guava or papaya like fruit. There is a subtlety to the hops that opens up some bready flavors. Phenomenal scent compared to the other ipas consumed prior.

T: Flipping brilliant. Bright and citrus. Sweet up front. The papaya flavor dominates toward the end. The hops cut through the noise and are a super powerful way to control the overall presentation. Provides unbelievable balance on the while.

F: totally surprisingly how light and easy this dense, powerful, hoppy powerhouse can be. The alcohol is completely hidden. Fully accessible and yet delightfully complex flavors. Something here for everyone in my opinion.

O: Love at first and second and third and every following sip. This is awesome compared to many of those other hop dominated "ipas". Truly love this one.

I tried this beer at the brewery. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had hints of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The abv was masked quite well making this a dangerous beer. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

On tap at the brewery.
Clear but slightly hazy red-copper body with a fine looking head.
Medium carbonation in a medium body.
Not unattractive hints of raspberry liqueur with baked bread in the aroma. Mix of raspberry and hop flavors works pretty well, but certainly cuts the intensity of the hops. Mild bitterness for style.
