I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had strong coffee presence. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with roast coffee base. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer and worth a try.

My first Crowler! Damn good price, too. Described as such...”Our third iteration of Bold Brewed features Bold Bean Coffee Roasters’ La Pia single origin coffee from Guatemala. It has distinct notes of Neapolitan Ice Cream and Honey Smack.”
Not sure my palate is sophisticated enough to pull those flavors from this, but I know it’s a fabulous Porter. Easily one of the better versions of the style that I’ve had in a long time. Full of dark chocolate, sweet sugary roasted malt, coffee, wet wood, earth...all the good things about a Porter. But also with the body and feel of a Stout, so it shines throughout, not leaving a watery taste in the finish. Really impressed with this brewery!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
