Impressive 3-finger head that settles with a central dome, leaving behind a smattering of spots and shorter streaks. The liquid is dirty gold/amber in color with a minor haze.
Light caramel with an off-putting brewery floor smell. The hop aroma, though, is refreshing and floral mitigating the initial smell.
Oily mouthfeel, rich and lowly carbonated. Strong alcohol presence. The base is pale malt (although the alcohol covers this up a bit). Good balancing hop in the finish but it creates a short.-lived aftertaste.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy orange-amber color with a small head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather strong of a bready and doughy smell mixed with notes of yeast and a good showing of some grapefruit and pine. Other light aromas of apricot, mango, and peach and a touch of tangerine are there as well rounding out the smell profile.
Taste – The taste begins with a malt forward flavor of a bready and doughy nature paired with some pine and herbal hop. There are notes of grapefruit hop as well, with these flavors getting stronger as the taste advances. Some other flavors of apricot, mango, and tangerine are there as well, adding a light touch of sweetness. The sweetness remains rather constant throughout, while a touch of a vegetal flavor and some very light notes of hay come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather easy natured and not overly juicy or hoppy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to heavy with a carbonation level that is moderate. For the flavors and the abv. the feel is nice and makes for an easy, but slow, sipper.
Overall – While nothing super exciting, it is a rather good imperial IPA that isn’t overly fruity or sweet. The hop profile has a nice blend of citrus and dank hop, making it stand out from the rest of the market saturated with hazy juice bombs.
