English-style Ordinary Bitter originally brewed in collaboration with our friends at Little House Brewing. Chesterfield is a balanced, traditionally-minded Ordinary Bitter brewed with Golden Promise & Crystal Malts, gently hopped with East Kent Goldings, and fermented with a London ale yeast. This low-gravity pub ale finds an elegant balance of malt sweetness, mild earthy hop aromatics, and easy-drinking lightness of body.

(16 oz can, no date/code; purchased cold 4-pack at the brewery yesterday... poured into a nonic)
L: pretty clear (doesn't look filtered) amber liquid; open, bouncy, wispy foam with a slight tan tinge... cap breaks up, faded collar, little lace
S: fantastic expression... almost like multigrain pancakes topped with honey... paradise malt blend, highlighted with hints of barmy yeast, nutty caramel, graham cracker, earthy hop
T: mildly bitter, gaining some grassy, peppery tones as it goes, with a subtly sweetish (almost like maple syrup) undertone reminiscent of Yuengling... cereal malt essence lingers in the front/bottom of the palate, while a meadow/pasture like earthiness hums at the back/top... noticeable deficit of alcohol upon contact which fades as the aftertaste blooms
F: light-medium bodied; with a vigorous pour, the roundness of the malts become plumper.... bitterness tingles and tugs the taste buds a bit, to a suitable degree... perhaps lacks a bit of snap on its slow, sluggish finish... overall on point though
O: sad sorry sample I got on draft at the brewery (literally like 3/4 oz?! - essentially a coating of the glass haha) did not forecast the deliciousness of this beer... good out of the can (my first full sampling) and better in the glass... a home run! I could drink this all day - well done! (2287)

Picked up this beer at the brewery on a trip to many Connecticut breweries.
Pouring at cellar temp into my .5 L dimple mug. Can has no date stamp on the label or can.
The beer pours a clear amber to copper color and a fluffy khaki to eggshell white head of 1 cm foams up and fades quickly to a sturdy edge layer and one wispy island. Some limited lacing when I swirl or take a sip.
Aroma is some light caramel and toasted bread notes with a balancing black tea hop note. Unsurprisingly, no hint of the ABV on this low ABV session beer.
First sip reveals a light body with fine and fairly fizzy carbonation. Texture is very smooth and this beer drinks super fast and easy, which seems suitable for the style also.
Flavor is mild but hits the right notes, I get toasted dark bread, some light caramel and a bit of a tea bite on the finish. The finish also dries out my palate on each sip.
Pretty enjoyable session beer, glad to have tried this one, another winner from a very solid brewery!
