Very solid NEIPA, citrusy, nice feel to it, nicer upfront than on the back end- bit of bitterness after the sweet. However, was left just feeling.....meh. Would drink happily at any party or get-together, and would for sure reach for it in the cooler, but with so many great options out there, does not stand out in the crowd.

Tropical, citrusy and herbaceous, the brewery of Battery Steele goes south, way, way, way south for a unique and highly refreshing, land-down-under hop bomb of a New England styled IPA that is as flavorful as it is crushable.
Pastel gold and casting a rustic, turbid haze on the glass, Kineo rises with a billowing ivory froth and a bursting bouquet of musty tropical fruit, rip roaring citrus and a botanical blend of chive, hemp and hay. A slight cakey taste and texture layers onto the tongue with suggestions of shortcake, honey and cereal.
The enduring wheaten malts provide a pillow of softness for a middle palate that's simply chocked full of fruit. Leading flavors of mango, apricot, pineapple, passionfruit and gooseberry, the New Zealand hops are evident, even with a succulent tanginess of exotic fruits. Citrus components are of under ripened varieties of lime, pink grapefruit and tangerine to bring a full on sherbet-like taste. Trending herbal and softly bitter, the hop's peppery resins are surrounded by orange leaf, geranium, green tea and sassafras.
Medium bodied and creamy throughout, the beer's finish is of verbena, tea and once the alcohol is sensed, a spice of gin has a late showing on the throat. A medium long linger of dank fruit peels once again evokes a whimsy of cannabis into a drying finish of refreshment, crispness and cleanliness.

A very well made triple dry hopped neipa. Battery Steele NEVER disappoints.
