L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a bight copper color and a slightly hazy consistency. There was a 3/4", foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A so-so aroma of hops, malt, caramel, citrus fruit, and an earthy quality.
T: Tasted of a good shot of malt (a big component), a decent bit of the earthy quality, an average amount of hops (less than expected), and some light citrus notes (lemon, in particular). Not what I expected (this is more of an English IPA). It marginally succeeds in being kind of a throwback IPA, but lacks some dynamism. A little on the uneven side.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This beer has some good qualities, but is certainly uneven.
