Pours a murky, almost opaque orange/amber, with a white head. The aroma is redolent with Citra hops, a big bold blast of hops. The flavor is full of citrus and pine notes from the Citra hops, with a touch of creaminess from the wheat. There's enough malt here to hold off the hops, but the hops are the star of this show. If you like Citra hops, you'll probably love this beer.

Pretty good. The citra hops do not hit you in the face with this as much as I would like. It is such a great hop that throws some really good flavors in a few other local citra beers that this just does not quite have.

It calls itself "A wheat IPA with a hippo-sized amount of citra." I call it a very nice first brew of the day. My sample was canned 5-31-2018 - 17 days ago.
It pours a very pretty deep yellow, light golden. The lacing is great and fizz keeps on coming. The smell is a mix of citra hoppy and wheat beer, in a nice strong concert, with no funkiness. The taste is like many citra dominant brews, with that refreshing dryness up from, this time balanced with somewhat different malts. It's better balanced than many of the drier ones, and less complex than the hazy one I had yesterday at Great Lakes.
Recommended. If I had another I would crack it immediately.
