Dark brown color with a two finger tan head that lingers. Roasted malt and bitter chocolate in the nose. The taste has the malt, bitter chocolate, some brown sugar, and a bite of alcohol on the back end. Medium-full body and medium-low carbonation. Some alcohol sneaks through.
As far as imperial brown ales go, its a surprisingly good option. It lives with it's ABV well and develops good notes before a rough around the edges finish.

Really digging what these guys are doing of late.
This brown ale pours black. The tan froth leaves quickly as if it's scared.
Roasted malt conquers all aspects of the aroma.
Layers of roasted malt on the palate with a dollop of molasses, some milk chocolate sweetness, and faint black grape.
Medium and smooth for the most part, but a little rough in spots.
A quality beer from a quality up and comer.

Pours to a permanent beige head and dark brown color. Consistent lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty with roasted nuts and chocolate. The roasted nuts and sweet malt carry over to the mouth. Mouthfeel is warm due to high abv. A strong brown outside the lines.
