On tap at brewery:
Pours very hazy, but clears with some settling, indicating a bit of chill haze. Body is a cloudy orange sunrise, becoming an amber orange. Head is like the film atop a stagnant pond, which is the antithesis of how it sounds, as long lasting head is good by me. Sheets of lacing appear as I take the first few sips.
Nose is solid, giving me a bit of malt tea with a bit of citrus floral hops.
Taste starts with a bit of malt husk and orange pith. Balanced from the start, the citrus orange shines, but not juicy or sweet. It's also not bitter, and a light pithy bitterness holds the reins initially. By mid-taste the balance is complete, and there's a light spice to grassy herbal trigger to start the bitter side of the beer. The bitter side turns pithy, but is held in check by a lingering cereal maltiness just enough.
This is a nice APA, showing aspects of malt and hops in a restrained way. Overall, this maybe tilts a couple degrees bitter, but that's great by me. Citrusy goodness on a (what else but) medium body. Kudos on this offering, TFaBR.
