16 oz. can served in a wilibecker. Pours a translucent copper with a rocky, quarter inch, cream-colored head embedded with pinpricks. Nose is fairly subdued - hints of bready malts, notes of sweetness and perhaps a touch of smoke. Taste is much more bready/yeasty than anticipated by the nose. Sweetness suggested in the nose is not readily apparent. Finishes with notes of bread malt and the merest hint of something that I can only describe as smoked malt. Mouthfeel is light in body with a pleasant, even carbonation. Overall, a well-crafted lager that I hope to try on the side-pull.
