On-tap 11/4/2021 at Laura’s Bar & Grill in Smithfield, RI, served in a tapered pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep golden amber color, with a thin white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains fruity citrus, caramelized malts and some floral hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with strong flavors of pineapple, citrus and caramel followed by a hearty malt character breadiness. The hops presence is mild for the style but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Smooth and crisp, medium-to-heavy body, light-to-medium carbonation, finish is sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, slightly filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a good retro-style malt-bomb 2IPA to drink for a while.
