Canned 11/13/23
This is one of the beers I picked up to send to zid in a trade recently, and I figured I'd pick one up for myself as well. It's a straightforward English Bitter, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen one that was packaged on nitro. This should be interesting, let's get into it
Pours a cloudy deep amber with a finger of loose light beige head that fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is pretty gentle, nothing out of the ordinary but good. I'm picking up on aromas of bread crust, orange marmalade, raw grain, floral hops, black tea, biscuity malt, and toffee
It's even more mild in taste, though it trends a bit sweet. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting biscuity malt, toffee, golden raisin, raw grain, floral hops, orange zest, and light black tea. The swallow brings notes of biscuity malt, floral hops, golden raisin, burnt sugar, black tea, toffee, and orange marmalade
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes mostly dry and refreshing
This one is pretty damn solid all around. A touch sweet but still good
