Canned 12/4/23. “NE coffee” stamped on the bottom of the can
It’s always cool to see a local brewery collaborating with a local business, my favorite coffee shop in this case. It’s just a straightforward coffee Stout and that sounds like a great way to start my day. Let’s get into it
Pours completely pitch black with 2 fingers of creamy tan head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
It is very coffee forward in the nose and I’m all about it. I’m picking up on aromas of dark roast coffee, raisin, brown sugar, milk chocolate, dark bread, black cherry, molasses, light floral hops, and black tea
It’s a bit more subdued in taste but still very good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, dark bread, black cherry, vanilla bean, cocoa powder, and light molasses. The swallow brings notes of dark roast coffee, vanilla bean, raisin, brown sugar, molasses, herbal hops, cocoa powder, black cherry, and burnt caramel
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a dry beer. Finishes bone dry and very roasty
I really dig this one. It’s simple but very well done
