Not much evidence of currants by the look of things, with a fairly standard golden-bronze pour with nice head and lacing. Musty straw and biscuit on the nose, with some lemongrass and sage. More fruity on the palate, very bright acid, and a moderately long finish that is simultaneously tart and sweet.

Somewhat cloudy golden body with a white bubbly cap. Nose is classic afterthought with oak, lemon juice, flowers, wild yeast, with hints of cantaloupe, grape must, and barrel funk. Taste is even funkier which is really nice, currants come in with the grape must, lemon and oak still the lead, almost has a touch of wildflower honey too. Vibrant and bright feeling, oak laden, and decently crisp. One of the better BDP in awhile
