We finally have a beer named after the membership program. This is a blend of Barrel #13, which is an ongoing solera-inspired project where we keep pulling some beer out and mixing other beer in. The barrel has notes of currant, berry, and red wine. We blended that with Barrel #15, which was a version of Afterthought Ale that had been aging in a red wine barrel that formerly held Saison Meer: Malbec Barrel.

500ml bottle from Tavour. Bright, hazy golden, fine creamy head sticks around for a while. Aroma is a big noseful of farmhouse yeast, tart notes, lemon. Taste adds minute red wine accents, citrus, pronounced tartness, yeast, grassy.

This one had a really nice lemony taste to it. It had a nice bit of tartness but it was not sour. Very nice carbonation. Another one that finished very dry. The red wine barrels were noticeable but not dominating. Nicely balanced.

Murky pale gold with visible carbonation and a white head with sporadic lacing. Nose is lead by barrel funk and oak with lychee, papaya, plum, and dulled berries all lightly interacting with vinous and floral aromas, beautifully complex. Taste starts bright with floral and oak tones before red wine, black currant, grape, lemon juice, light papaya, and a kiss of funky honeycomb. Surprisingly drinkable and almost juicy up front, vinous and oak character runs the feel with higher carbonation. Complex and fun
