Mostly murky light orange body with a white head. More funky up front in the nose than most AT saison which is very nice, berry meld with the funk backed by oak and wine. Taste is duller by comparison: acidic berries with vinous must and funk, oak, and supporting hay, currant and lemongrass. Feel is vinous more than anything, layers of sour oak give off slight acidity, heavier bodied for AT, but closer to medium for style. Interesting concept but feels like the blend could use come tweaking as the complexities dulled each other out a little.

Pours like a bronze rosé, highly carbonated, modest lacing. Bright acidity and florals on the nose, but fairly muted in comparison to many Afterthought offerings--blueberry, lemongrass, light barnyard funk and hay. Tart apple, currant and wine tannins join on the palate, with mild astringency.
