Bright orange, jewel tone clarity, lasting foam but not a lot. Random arcs of drippy lacing along the sides. Swirling rapidly rekindles the foam.

Aroma is acid-forward, some gunpowdery sulfur, grainy funk. Taste is similarly acidic with little to back it up. Oak, lime peel, seltzer. Feel is light to medium with the signature spritziness of Afterthought’s mixed ferm saisons. An acetic undercurrent is somewhat jarring, but it’s still relatively drinkable. It’s just not something you can drink much of without palate fatigue, and that's coming from a hardcore lambic fanatic.

More on the typical AWA end of the spectrum, I love what they’re doing but this is far from exemplary from them.

Orange cloudy body with a full eggshell white head with spotted lacing. Amazing nose with vinous barrel notes with huge black currant, mild black berry, lemon, light funk, flower petals, and AT house wild yeast, nuanced and exploding with intensity. Taste is much the same with hibiscus, grape lollipop, black currant, wine, oak, honeycomb, playful brett and funk, and mushy lemon peel, amazing, haven't had anything like it before. Feel is darker in complexion than most AT ales, decently tart with a hint of acidity, oak laden, lightly shaped by funk, starts wet and finishes dry and smooth. Creative and well executed!
