Hoppy, citrusy saison fermented and aged in a Malört barrel! We went lower on the IBUs for this one and kept it in the barrel until we achieved the level of herbal bitterness we were looking for in the finish, leading to a beer that is citrus-forward but also packs a light kick of Chicago's favorite beverage in the finish.

Cloudy pale straw colored body with a full white head and trace amounts of lacing. Frankly this is a bad idea. In smell but especially taste the barrel add smoke, bitter herbs, and ash to the usually wonderful AT house yeast, lemon, and playful funk. Feel is dried out and muddled by the barrel, weighing down the usually light and playful body. Just don't belong together
