Copenhagen 1/6 2020. 44 cl can from Kvickly, Allerød. Drawing of a lot of brewing equipments with a half-naked lady with a motorcycle helmet on top. Very Rock 'N Roll.
Pours unclear yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a moderate sweet malty odor and stronger citric odor. Caramel and sweet malts. Peach and apricot. Lemon and citrus.
Light and gentle carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is citric an bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Solid IPA West Coast Style And a half-naked biker on top of it. I won't complain.

I am not much of a West Coast IPA lover, so take my rating with a grain of malt.
Yes, it has that malty sweetness that drives me to the hills, but this is also quite bitter. So interesting, but it doesn't save it for me. The highlight is in the aftertaste, which scales back on everything a bit and that creates a much appreciated balance not initially found.

Poured from 440mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 4/28/23.
Appearance: murky yellow-golden hue with a thin layer of ivory foam atop. Not much head, but otherwise a promising-looking IPA.
Smell: a bit citrusy, a bit dank, and a bit juicy. I quite like it.
Taste: a little bit lighter in character than the aroma; it's plenty citrusy, but with a little less of the dank character. The malt is a bit on the sweet side, though in a 7.2% beer that's not out of the ordinary. There's a hint of a sour note toward the end that I don't love, but overall it's a decent IPA.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a decent carbonation and a good creaminess for an IPA.
Overall: the aroma is good, and although the flavor doesn't quite back it up for me, this is still a perfectly cromulent IPA and is worth trying.

On tap. Hazy dark orange color with off-white head. Aroma has oranges, fruit candy and some hop resin. Taste has sweet orange notes at first but gets more bitter and piney towards the finish. Medium plus body with medium carbonation. Quite well made, more classic IPA.

Craft beers have finally begun to emerge in Budapest. This was one of several random unfamiliar bottles I picked up in at a bottleshop the city. JAM72 is a tasty American style IPA with good hoppy bitterness and depth. Almost double IPA in it's robustness but still very smooth and refreshing. I can say if this was available in the States it would be one I'd seek out. Well worth a sample if you ever have a chance.

One of the best craft IPAs in Hungary, made very well in the West Coast tradition.
Dark amber in the glass with an amazing thick off-white head and lacing that suggests something of the density of the beer itself: heavily hopped and malted body with perhaps a little artificial (?) carbonation.
This is the kind of full IPA that you could drink again and again - perhaps a typical West Coast-esque one but very well made in a fine quality, somehow a bit different and somewhat originally Hungarian as well. Hats off to the Hungarian Mad Scientist brewery who brewed this come true. An outstandingly good American IPA made in Central-Eastern Europe!
