Copenhagen 7/6 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of an extravagant brewing facility including loudspeakers and a scantily dressed girl with a motorcycle helmet.
Pours unclear golden amber with a mid-sized, dense white head. Settles as a thin but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor of tropical fruit with a hint of turpentine. Citric notes peeking in. Sweet apricot and perfumed mango. Lemon and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily and a bit greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Fine intensity but a bit flat in the mouth.

Poured from 440mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 2/3/23.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: sweet malt with a citrusy, almost sour hop character. There's a little dankness under the sour, though, which is redeeming. Interesting.
Taste: malt is a bit sweet but also toasty, which adds a somewhat balancing dry note. The hops are the same brand of slightly dank, slightly sour, and slightly citrusy, that I have detected in a fair number of Hungarian IPAs and pale ales. I'm not sure what the deal is; it's not terrible, but it doesn't especially work for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not the worst thing out there by any means, but the flavor profile just doesn't appeal to me.

Poured is charged amber, tending towards orange.
Abundant foam, which quickly thins in thickness as the beer rises. However, it remains to act as a fluffy hat on top of the beer without ever disappearing completely.
On the nose, fruity notes (grapefruit, pineapple) but not too intense.
In the mouth beer of a fuller density greater than what I would have expected.
Entrance characterized by the fruit of new grapefruit, citrus peel, a quick hint more "exotic" (peach, papaya), before the emergence of a hint of malts, abundantly soft (tending to sweet) and a dry, bitter finish light that leaves ample room for the sweeter notes that remain in the palate.
The more it is held in the mouth, the more the malty component stands out, giving an almost caramel / honey sense that emerges between a quick initial fruity taste and a bitterish finish.

Clear medium golden color with off-white head. Aroma has candied orange, orange rind and perfumey hop resin. Taste starts with toasted malt, sweet orange peel, really clean with some nice resiny hop bitterness growing towards the finish. Medium to light body with medium carbonation. A really well made pale ale.
