Copenhagen 15/12 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of a fine Monkey Temple on the can. Almost taken out of the Disney's the Jungle Book.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong sweet, fruity odor mingling with a modest tart scent. Sweet orange, wheat malt, white sugar. A bit perfumed. Thin, citric odor of citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a light, tart sourness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry with a touch of sweet banana.
Quite much on the sweet and perfumed side for my taste buds.

Poured from 440mL can into my Belvárosi Sör Fesztivál tulip. Best by 2/14/25.
Appearance: medium yellow hue with a moderate haze and a thick layer of frothy eggshell foam atop. Nice!
Smell: quite malty and wheaty, with a definite hefeweizen character. The vanilla comes through, but I’m not convinced vanilla is the greatest ingredient for hefeweizen.
Taste: wheaty malt with a clovey yeast character, along with a sort of crackery malt and there’s that vanilla again. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but the combination does not really work for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a good creaminess.
Overall: I think this could be a pretty good beer as a standard hefeweizen, but the vanilla does it no favors.

On tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma has the typical wheat sweetness and banana esters with some citrus on top. Taste follows with banana and citrus, slightly sweet with a dry finish. Medium to light body with medium plus carbonation.
