Poured from 440mL can into a kitchen glass. Best by 2/26/25.
Appearance: medium golden hue with plenty of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: moderately sweet aroma with a citrusy character and a hint of that hoppy sharpness that I find in a fair number of IPAs, that I don’t super care for. There’s also a bit of a floral character here, which is certainly interesting. It’s not bad, but maybe not the first thing I’d pick.
Taste: the flavor has some of that sharpness in the aroma, but it really complements the sweetness and also contrasts a kind of tropical juiciness also present here. I think it would be better without the sharpness at all, but its presence here at least doesn’t detract too much from the beer’s other qualities.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a pretty solid hazy IPA. It’s growing on me, which is impressive for a 5.5% hazy.
