Copenhagen 14/7 2023. 33 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Vintage style can in red, orange and cream with a gangster with a melting face.
Pours opaque dark brown with almost no head. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, dark, sugary odor of overripe berries and sweet spices. Cherries, sugar, vanilla and marzipan.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, sticky, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong, sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary cherries. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet liqueur.
More cherry liqueur than beer.
