Poured from 330mL can into a kitchen glass. This is the official beer of Budapest Beer Week 2025. Best by 5/21/26 -- so, if they put their best-by dates out a year, then this is pretty fresh (as you would expect, since it was released last week).
Appearance: medium gold with a bit of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop, leaving a nice lace on the glass.
Smell: light-to-moderate sweetness with a toastiness to the malt and a rather herbal hop character.
Taste: grainy and toasty malt, with that super-herbal, almost dry-grass-like hop character, and a kind of slightly sourish undertone. It's not ... awful, but I'm not a big fan.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: gotta say, this one is a miss for me. Not the worst thing out there, but also not really flying the flag of good beer for Hungary here, guys.
